Itinerary

Itinerary:

Arrival in Lima, Transfer to Hotel and City Tour (Day 01)

On this first day of the Package Lima Machu Picchu, upon arrival at Lima’s airport, our representative will be waiting to pick you up and take you to your hotel. You can check in and rest.

In the late afternoon, you’ll begin your Package Lima Machu Picchu city tour, exploring significant locations such as Miraflores, Barranco, the Huaca Pucllana, and Colonial Lima’s key components including the Plaza de Armas, Government Palace, Municipal Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, and archaeological monuments from the colonial era.

Transfer from Lima Hotel to Jorge Chávez Airport and Arrival in Cusco, Hotel Transfer and City Tour (Day 02)

In the morning, we’ll pick you up from your assigned hotel, 4 hours before your flight’s departure. Upon arriving at Cusco’s airport, our representative will be waiting to receive and transfer you to your scheduled Cusco hotel as part of the Package Lima Machu Picchu experience.

Upon arrival, hotel staff will assist you with check-in, and our scheduled assistant will provide a detailed description of your itinerary along with important considerations for your Package Lima Machu Picchu adventure.

In the afternoon, you’ll be ready to tour Cusco, starting at the Inca Qoricancha Temple, considered the most important during the Tahuantinsuyo empire’s peak, now occupied by the Santo Domingo Convent.

Afterward, you’ll head to Sacsayhuamán, one of the archaeological complexes closest to Cusco, on a journey of approximately 20 minutes. After exploring Sacsayhuamán’s impressive monolithic structures, we’ll continue to Qenqo, also known as “The Labyrinth,” a mysterious site that invites us to discover its enigmas. Then, we’ll board the van again to head to Puka Pukara, or “The Red Fortress,” a construction possibly used for military purposes during the empire. Finally, we’ll transfer to Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to water worship. This beautiful location, marking one of the entrances to Cusco, offers a unique perspective of Incan architecture, concluding this fascinating tour of the Package Lima Machu Picchu.

Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour and Train Connection to Aguas Calientes (Day 03)

This day of the Package Lima Machu Picchu will begin around 8:00 AM with pickup from your hotel to start the classic Sacred Valley of the Incas tour. You’ll first visit the traditional town, artisan market, and archaeological center of Pisaq, spending the first part of the day there, then connecting to Urubamba, where you’ll enjoy lunch at a buffet featuring the best of Peruvian cuisine.

The final part of the scheduled tour takes place in the ancestral town of Chinchero, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit the fortress that constitutes the main archaeological center of this town.

Upon completing the activity with necessary recommendations, you’ll wait for the scheduled train that will take you to Aguas Calientes in the next two hours to spend the night at your assigned hotel.

Remember that your assigned guide will contact you to provide more information about the Machu Picchu tour to be conducted the next day of your Package Lima Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Visit, Return to Ollantaytambo, and Transfer to Cusco (Day 04)

With the information marked by the guide the previous day, you should begin the Machu Picchu visit by first heading to the main street of Aguas Calientes, from where you’ll take the buses connecting to the Sanctuary Control Point. Once controls are completed, you can enjoy a visit lasting around 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the assigned circuit.

Upon finishing the visit with the appropriate recommendations, you’ll return to Aguas Calientes, from where you’ll take the scheduled trains to Ollantaytambo, where they will pick you up to return you to Cusco in approximately 2 more hours.

Full Day Tour of Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain (Day 05)

The final day of adventure in the Package Lima Machu Picchu, the complete route to Phulawasipata, the parking area for this attraction, takes around 3 hours. However, before arriving at the Vinicunca parking lot, you’ll make a brief stop in the town of Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Upon arrival, you’ll receive the corresponding instructions and prepare for the walk. The trek to Vinicunca is done through a medium-difficulty ascending route, walking for approximately 2 hours until reaching the viewpoint of the Seven-Colored Mountain.

Once at Vinicunca, you’ll have time to relax and admire the impressive landscape. After enjoying the location, you’ll return to the aforementioned parking area. The return trip will be shorter. Midway, a delicious lunch awaits you at the same restaurant where you had breakfast.

After lunch, you’ll return to Cusco, concluding the Package Lima Machu Picchu experience, around 5:00 PM.

Transfer from Hotel to Cusco Airport (Day 06)

On this last day, based on the flight itinerary you’ll provide, we’ll schedule your pickup from the hotel 2 hours and 30 minutes in advance, thus concluding our scheduled services for the Package Lima Machu Picchu.
