Full itinerary Description:
Arrival in Cusco, Transfer to Hotel, and City Tour (Day 1)
Upon arrival at Cusco’s airport, a representative will be waiting to greet you and transfer you to your scheduled hotel in the city. Once at the hotel, the staff will assist you with the check-in process, and our tour assistant will provide a detailed itinerary and important information.
In the afternoon, get ready for a city tour of Cusco starting at the Inca Temple of Qoricancha, the most important temple during the Inca Empire, now occupied by the Santo Domingo Convent. Next, you will head to Sacsayhuamán, an archaeological complex located just 20 minutes from the city, where you’ll explore impressive monolithic structures. From there, continue to Qenqo, known as “The Labyrinth,” a mysterious site full of enigmas. Next, we’ll visit Puka Pukara, a “Red Fortress,” which likely served military purposes during the Inca Empire. Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to water worship, offering a unique perspective of Inca architecture and closing this fascinating tour.
Sacred Valley Tour and Train Connection to Aguas Calientes (Day 2)
Your day will begin at 8:00 AM with a scheduled pickup from your hotel to start the classic Sacred Valley tour. The first stop will be the traditional town of Pisaq, where you will visit the artisan market and the archaeological site. Afterward, continue to Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch, where you’ll enjoy the best of Peruvian cuisine.
The last part of the tour takes you to the ancestral village of Chinchero, where you will have the opportunity to visit the fortress, the main archaeological center of the town.
After finishing the tour with the necessary recommendations, you will wait for your scheduled train to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night in your assigned hotel.
Your assigned guide will contact you to provide more information about the Machu Picchu travel package for the next day.
Visit to Machu Picchu, Return to Ollantaytambo, and Transfer to Cusco (Day 3)
Following the instructions provided by your guide, you will head to the main street of Aguas Calientes, where you’ll take a bus that connects you to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. Once at the entrance, after completing the necessary checks, you will enjoy a 2.5-hour tour (depending on the assigned circuit).
After the tour, follow the recommended procedures and return to Aguas Calientes. At your assigned time, you will board the train that will take you to Ollantaytambo, where you will be picked up and transferred back to Cusco in approximately two hours.
Full Day Tour to Vinicunca, Rainbow Mountain (Day 4)
On this adventure-filled day, the journey to Phulawasipata, the parking area for this attraction, will take approximately 3 hours. However, before reaching the parking lot, there will be a short stop in the town of Cusipata for a delicious breakfast.
Upon arrival, you will receive instructions and prepare for the trek. The hike to Vinicunca involves a moderate uphill route, taking about 2 hours to reach the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint.
Once at Vinicunca, you will have time to relax and take in the breathtaking landscape. Afterward, you will begin your return journey to the parking area. The return trip will be shorter, and on the way, a delicious lunch awaits at the same restaurant where you had breakfast.
After lunch, we will return to Cusco, where our experience will conclude around 5:00 PM.
Transfer from Hotel to Cusco Airport (Day 5)
On this final day, based on your flight itinerary, we will schedule your pickup from the hotel 2.5 hours before your flight departure, thus concluding our Machu Picchu travel package services.
