Arrival in the City of Cusco, Transfer to Your Hotel, and City Tour (Day 01)

Upon arrival at Cusco airport, one of our representatives will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your designated hotel in the city.

Once you arrive, the hotel staff will assist you with the check-in process. Our scheduled assistant will provide a detailed description of your itinerary and important information for your trip.

In the afternoon, be ready to begin your Cusco city tour, starting with the Inca Temple of Qorikancha, considered the most important temple during the peak of the Inca Empire, now occupied by the Convent of Santo Domingo.

Next, you’ll head to Sacsayhuamán, one of the closest archaeological sites to the city of Cusco, a short 20-minute drive away. After exploring the impressive monolithic structures, the tour continues to Qenqo, also known as “The Labyrinth,” a mysterious site full of secrets. Then, we will visit Puka Pukara, the “Red Fortress,” a military structure from the Inca Empire. Finally, we will take you to Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to water worship, offering a unique perspective of Inca architecture.

Sacred Valley Tour and Train Connection to Aguas Calientes (Day 02)

Your day will begin at 8:00 AM with a scheduled pick-up from your hotel to start the classic Sacred Valley tour. Your first stop will be the traditional town of Pisaq, where you’ll visit the artisan market and archaeological site, spending most of the morning there. Afterward, you will continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch, where you can sample the best of Peruvian cuisine.

The final stop of the day will be in the ancestral village of Chinchero, where you will visit the fortress that serves as the main archaeological site of the area.

After the tour, you’ll have some free time to relax before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes for an overnight stay at your designated hotel. Your assigned guide will contact you with more information about the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu.

Visit to Machu Picchu, Return to Ollantaytambo, and Transfer to Cusco (Day 03)

Following the information provided by your guide the day before, you will start your visit to Machu Picchu, first heading to the main road in Aguas Calientes to catch the buses that take you to the Sanctuary Control Point. After completing the necessary checks, you will enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour, depending on your assigned circuit.

Once the visit concludes, you will return to Aguas Calientes to catch the scheduled train to Ollantaytambo. From there, you’ll be transferred back to Cusco in about two hours.

Full Day Tour of Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain (Day 04)

This exciting adventure begins with a 3-hour journey to Phulawasipata, the parking area for the Vinicunca tour. Before reaching the park, we’ll stop in the town of Cusipata for a delicious breakfast.

Once at the starting point, you’ll receive instructions for the 2-hour medium-difficulty trek to reach the viewpoint of Vinicunca, the Mountain of Seven Colors. You’ll have time to relax and admire the breathtaking scenery before returning to the parking area. On the way back, we’ll stop for a delicious lunch at the same restaurant where you had breakfast. Afterward, we’ll return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 PM.

Full Day Tour to Humantay Lake (Day 05)

Your adventure begins early at 5:00 AM, when you will be picked up from your hotel and travel for approximately 2 hours to the town of Mollepata. Here, you will enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant before continuing for another hour to Soraypampa, the starting point for the 2-hour hike to Humantay Lake.

Once you reach the lake, you’ll have about 40 minutes to relax and take in the stunning landscape. Afterward, you’ll return to the parking area and enjoy a delicious lunch in Mollepata. We’ll return to Cusco, where you’ll arrive around 6:00 PM.

Full Day Sun Route Tour from Cusco to Puno (Day 06)

Early in the morning, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the bus station for your journey to Puno. Along the way, we’ll make several stops at important sites, such as the Huaro Temple, San Pedro Apóstol Temple of Andahuaylillas, the Wiraqocha Temple, the archaeological site of Raqchi, and the Puka Pukara Museum. We’ll also stop for lunch at one of the best restaurants along the route.

You’ll arrive in Puno around 5:00 PM, where we will transfer you to your hotel. Our staff will provide you with the necessary information for the upcoming activities.

Full Day Tour to Uros and Taquile Islands by Boat (Day 07)

At 6:30 AM, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Titicaca Lake port. After a 45-minute boat ride, you will reach the floating Uros Islands, where local inhabitants will share their customs and lifestyle.

Next, you will continue the tour by boat to Taquile Island, famous for its traditional textile craftsmanship. You will have free time to explore the island and learn about the local culture before enjoying a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll return to the port and be transferred to your hotel.

Transfer from Hotel to Juliaca Airport (Day 08)

On your last day, we will arrange a pick-up from your hotel with 4 hours of advance notice, based on your flight schedule, marking the end of your journey with the best Cusco Machu Picchu Puno vacation package in Peru.

  • Tickets can be presented either printed or digitally.
  • On the trains, there is a maximum baggage limit of 8 kilograms per person.
  • For your visit to Machu Picchu and other attractions, wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as the route is long, but the visit itself doesn’t require specialized equipment.
  • As you will be in a region known as the “ceja de selva” (edge of the jungle), it is essential to use repellent and sunscreen.
  • Depending on the time of year of your visit, don’t forget to bring warm clothing for the early mornings and evenings, and/or a raincoat.
