Itinerary:

To ensure you have the best experience during your Visit to Machu Picchu on Hiram Bingham trains, your first assistance must be coordinated with your agent the day before your service. You will be provided with a specific pick-up time and detailed instructions.

Our team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take you to the Poroy train station, a 30-minute journey. Before boarding the luxurious Hiram Bingham train, you will be greeted with a welcome show and drink. Onboard, you will pass through picturesque Cusco villages and landscapes such as Poroy, Pujiura, and Huarocondo, crossing into the Sacred Valley and finally entering the Machu Picchu Canyon. You will arrive at Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), where your onboard guide will give you the necessary instructions to visit Machu Picchu. To reach Machu Picchu, you will take a 20-minute bus ride with your group to the entrance, where you will go through the controls before starting the tour, which lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

After the tour, you will enjoy afternoon tea at the Sanctuary Lodge hotel. Your guide will assist you with the return journey to Aguas Calientes and the train station, where you will take the return service to the original station with a celebratory atmosphere, arriving back at the Poroy station. A final 30-minute journey will bring you back to Cusco.

Along the way, you may find many establishments where you can use credit cards; however, there may be places where cash is required, so be sure to exchange money the day before departure.
The luggage limit for the trains on this route is 5 kilograms per person. While small personal luggage is permitted, large suitcases may incur additional fees for both the outbound and return routes.
Be sure to carry mosquito repellent, sunscreen, and any prescription medications you may need.
Machu Picchu’s climate is warmer than Cusco’s, but given the altitude in the Andes, layering your clothing is the best option to cope with constant temperature changes.
