Itinerary:

04:00 – 18:00
This service starts early in the morning. Your guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation and drive to Cusipata village, where you’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast at a local restaurant before the tour begins. The drive will take approximately 2 hours.
After another hour of travel, you’ll reach the Vinicunca parking area. Here, you’ll find restrooms, souvenir stands, and horse rentals. The guide will give safety instructions and explain key information about the route.
The hike is of medium-high difficulty and takes around 2 hours. Once at the top, you’ll have time to enjoy the stunning high Andean landscape of the Vilcanota mountain range. After your visit, you’ll return by a different route to explore the unique Red Valley.
After returning to the parking area, the transport will take you back to the restaurant in Cusipata for lunch, and then you’ll continue to Cusco city, arriving around 5:00 PM.

Recommendations:

• We recommend scheduling high-altitude activities for the later days of your trip to help your body acclimate to the altitude (above 5,200 meters).
• Be sure to bring cash for entrance fees and any additional expenses.
• Don’t forget to bring water and some snacks for the journey.
• Dress in layers to adjust to the changing mountain weather.
• The best option is to wear specialized hiking shoes.
