Itinerary:

Your adventure begins with hotel pickup by our friendly driver and guide.

Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive to Phulawasipata, the parking area for Vinicunca. Before we reach the trailhead, we’ll stop at the charming village of Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast to fuel up for your hike.

Once you’ve enjoyed your breakfast, it’s time to start your journey to Vinicunca. The trek is a moderate uphill hike of approximately 2 hours, offering stunning views as you approach the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca).

Upon arrival at Vinicunca, you’ll have time to marvel at the spectacular scenery and take plenty of photos. After soaking in the views, we’ll begin the return journey to the parking area. The return trip is faster, and halfway back, we’ll stop for a well-deserved, delicious lunch at the same restaurant where we had breakfast.

After lunch, you’ll relax during the return trip to Cusco, where your experience will end around 5:00 PM.

• 04:00 a.m.-5:00 a.m. – Pick-up from Cusco hotels.
• 06:30 a.m.–07:00 a.m. Breakfast in Cusipata.
• 08:40 a.m. – Arrival at the starting point of Rainbow Mountain hike.
• 09:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m. – Hike to the 7 Colors Mountain (approx. 2 hours).
• 10:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m. Free time at the viewpoint.
• 11:00 a.m.-13:30 p.m. – Return to the Cusipasata Restaurant.
• 13:30 a.m.-14:30 p.m. Buffet lunch in Cusipata.
• 14:30 p.m.-16:30 p.m. – Return to Cusco.

Recommendations:

• We recommend leaving high-altitude activities for the last days of your itinerary. This will allow your body to better acclimatize since you will be walking above 5,200 meters above sea level.
• Don’t forget to bring cash for entrance fees and additional expenses.
• Be sure to bring water and some snacks, as the distance between breakfast and lunch can be quite long.
• Dress in layers to better adjust to the changing mountain weather.
• The best option is to wear specialized hiking shoes.
