Itinerary:

At around 13:00 your guide will pick you up to begin the scheduled tour, heading first to the traditional San Pedro Market, a century-old food market that brought together the itinerant markets once held in the various main squares of Cusco. Then, on foot, you will wander through important streets and past notable monuments, reaching the city's cathedral to see its impressive collection of colonial art of Indigenous, mestizo, Spanish and even Italian origin.

The next stop will be the finest museum in the imperial city, the Inca Museum of Cusco, whose various halls present one of the most complete accounts of Andean historical development, through the Inca era, the conquest, and the colonial and republican periods.

After the visits described above, your scheduled transport will take you to the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, where you will visit the main complex and its megalithic walls, built with gigantic stones fitted together to perfection.

The tour ends at around 18:00 at your hotel.

Recommendations:

  • Don't forget to bring cash for any additional expenses, as well as water and some snacks.
  • Bring a warm layer for the end of the afternoon, as temperatures drop considerably.
  • Wear comfortable shoes; this is not a very demanding activity.
